Welcome to the SRS Events volunteer page.

Volunteers are a crucial element to the success of our events, without the help of volunteers these events just could not go ahead.

Requests to become a volunteer on our events will be met on a first come, first served basis, as volunteer position on our events are capped so don’t delay. We are recruiting 140 volunteer support staff for 2011 due to the expansion of our involvement in cyclosportives and other events.

Our events are helping raise funds for different charities with the main charity we support The Sussex Heart Charity recieving funds raised by our cyclosportive events.

We also have the potential to help other charities in the future as well but we can't do this without keen volunteers who are willing to give their free time.

Volunteers are always welcome on our events to help us in our efforts to make all our events the best they can be.

If you wish to volunteer as a member of our event staff on one or all of our events, it will be greatly appreciated, although after volunteering on the first event our event staff are paid on subsequent events. Invariably we find that event staff members find the work very rewarding and come back to help again and again. Needless to say volunteering is a great way to learn on the job and potentially become a full member of The SRS Events team.

THE "HOOROO" SCHEME

Help On One, Ride On One.

If you are a cyclist who is keen to help out and give your free time to help on one of our cyclosportives we can offer you a free entry into one of our Cyclosportives as a thank you.

Also you will be first in the loop to find out what other events we are organizing with the potential of great savings on our Cyclosportives & future events and trips abroad.

The Hooroo Scheme is a win win situation if you like cycling. We look after our HOOROO scheme helpers and will endeavor to get you great deals on all we do in the future.

H&R SCHEME

Maybe you don't have the time to be able to help out all day on one of our rides but you would like to ride for free ?

Our H&R Scheme can offer you that free ride your looking for.

We need keen cyclist who don't mind giving upto 3hours of their time on the day of the event before their ride.

Normally this would consist of turning up at 7am at the HQ and then helping with signing on in the morning.

After this we will organise you with a number and timing chip and you can set off at the start with all the riders in the last wave of starters.

This scheme is not open to those that want to ride the Classic routes ie the longer distances of our sportives but is available to those that want to ride the Kermesse, Tour, or Challenge routes of our Cyclosportives.

Availability for thses H&R free entry places are limited, so please contact us asap if you want to apply.

Jobs at SRS Events.

In the back ground there is a team of paid staff that help organize the events we do.

Primarily most of our event staff are selected from our pool of volunteers.

We do also advertise regularly for extra staff due to the expansion of our events and activities we run. A cycling back ground is not essential but could prove useful in some respects of our organization.

What we are looking for though is dynamic people with a lust for life and a strong work ethic that understand the importance of sporting events for local communities and the people that live within them.

If you think your skills whatever they may be would be useful to us, and help us make our events even better than they are, it might be worth sending us your CV with a following letter telling us about yourself and detailing how you would be another outstanding member of the SRS Events team.

We are particularly interested in people that speak another language as well as English and who preferably have a clean full driving licence. Do you speak, any of these Languages, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Flemish and / or Dutch?
